Your health and safety is our utmost priority.

Taking Care of Your Child

As we reopen our center, additional changes for our center as far as serving children six weeks to twelve years old, all teachers and staff will go through extensive training on health and safety; new standards in child care will take place upon opening.

Handwashing and sanitizing enters: Everyone who enters the building will need to wash hands, and we'll continue to integrate handwashing into the curriculum. Hand washing sanitizer will be available throughout the center.

Stay home if sick : We ask that the ill person stay home until they've been symptom-free without medication for at least 48 hours. Classrooms will be open to good individuals only.

Sick space: The center will have a dedicated space in or out of the classroom where teachers can care for sick children while being separated from others until a family member can come to pick them up.

The same person drops off and picks up: Families are asked to assign one family member to drop off and pick up to minimize exposure to multiple people. If this is not possible, we ask parents to call the center upon arrival, and the staff will bring children in from and out to the car.

Protective equipment: All teachers will be required to wear a mask, infant and toddler teachers will also wear smocks during close contact in the classroom.

Health screening and temperature checks: All staff will take their temperature each day and be fever-free while at Karing Loving Daycare. The team will take a child's temperature before families sign in for the day. Staff will monitor children's health throughout the day.

Restricted classroom Access: To minimize the potential exposure, our staff would take your child to the classroom. Staff will walk your child to their classroom. Rooms will be reserved for teachers and children only.

Social Distancing: We'll continue to practice social distancing as much as possible to reduce risk. To minimize potential exposure, children will continue to keep a distance from children and staff in other classrooms.

Cleanliness: Classroom, toys, playground equipment, and other high-touch surfaces will be regularly disinfected and rotated throughout the day. We will pause the use of sensory tables, play dough, a large pillow stuffed animals, and other difficult to clean materials.

Modifications to family-style dining: Children will eat together with their group but will not be serving themselves.

Naptime: Children will sleep without mask six feet apart whenever possible and be positioned alternating head to toe or toe to toe. Bedding will be laundered daily, and personal items will be sent home daily for laundering to help control germs in the center.

Playground: Outdoors play structures will be utilized by one class at a time with the increased time between play to allow for cleaning

Field trips: There will be no field trips
